The best movies about traveling

Many countries aren’t under the lockdown, but you should be responsible and try to stay more in. And we’re all trying to stay positive, and what better way than to watch some amazing movies?

And not just any movies. We miss traveling like crazy (and we believe you do too), so we decided to suggest some movies about traveling.

We don’t know when we will be able to leave the house. And even if that happens anytime soon, we cannot even imagine when we will be able to travel again and leave our countries. So, to ease some of the pain of not being able to travel, we decided to watch movies about traveling. It’s the least we can do.

We have managed to compile a list of the best of the best, and we are sharing it with you.

Under the Tuscan Sun (2004)

This cheerful comedy-drama is about a divorcee who rediscovers herself. This movie features charming scenery and you will enjoy every scene of it. Frances Mayes’ friends send her on a tour of Tuscany, where she falls in love with a ramshackle house and buys it impulsively.

She meets many interesting people there and becomes a great fixer-upper. In this movie, you will see the town of Cortona, near Arezzo. So, get ready for stunning little houses on a hillside overlooking glistening waters. You’ll feel good to see Italy with happy people.

Wild (2014)

This movie is about a woman, Cheryl Strayed, who decided to walk the Pacific Crest Trail to face her demons. Her memoirs were turned into this inspiring movie starring Reese Witherspoon.

This movie was shot completely on location: the voyage begins in the Mojave Desert, heads up to Mount Hood and the outstanding Crater Lake, before ending in the Bridge of the Gods in Cascade Locks. Enjoy!

Tracks (2013)

This amazing movie is another memoir adaptation. Mia Wasikowska is starring as Robyn Davidson. She spent 9 months walking across the Australian desert on camels.

Tracks' movie review: Robyn Davidson takes on the Australian ...

Her journey starts in Alice Springs and takes her to the Indian Ocean, via sights such as Coffin Bay and Uluru. It is an inspiration for solo travelers, given that Robyn was only accompanied by her dog and a photographer, at some points.

Before Sunrise (1995)

The romantic setting for this drama is a train to Vienna. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy are starring in this movie. After they meet on the journey, they spend the night walking around Vienna together.

Their naturalistic, frank conversations are funny and involving, and it is easy to fall in love with the amazing Vienna as the pair go on trams and Ferris wheels along the Danube. This movie is followed by Before Sunset and Before Midnight, but Before Sunrise remains the most romantic in the series.

2 Days in Paris (2007)

As there won’t be city breaks anytime soon, we suggest you watch this amazing movie, filmed in Paris. This is a whip-smart dramedy that puts a funny spin on the idea of a romantic city break.

Julie Delpy plays Marion, a photographer who decides to spend two days in the City of Light with her neurotic boyfriend Jack, played by Adam Goldberg. This movie shows many famous Parisian spots, including the Pasteur metro station, the Père Lachaise cemetery, and the Gare Du Nord. Enjoy those Parisian sights!

Miley Cyrus opens up about her alcohol addiction

The Disney alum has always been open about her experience with alcohol and drugs. And like many people during the pandemic, she has gone through some ups and downs with substance.

In a recent interview with Apple Music, Miley Cyrus has discussed her journey with sobriety, and she honestly opened up about relapsing.

Miley Cyrus opened up about her alcohol problems, saying she stopped drinking again, mainly because she feared she would die at the age of 27. This age was the end for many of her colleagues such as Amy Winehouse, Janice Joplin, and Jim Morrison.

Apple Music’s Zane Lowe asked the singer about her sobriety. Miley Cyrus clarified that recently during the pandemic she had broken her sobriety by drinking alcohol, but at the time of the interview, she was two weeks sober. She admitted that she fell off during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, she has finally realized that she shouldn’t be furious with herself, but ask herself what exactly happened.

Miley Cyrus completely gave up alcohol

This summer, she said that she did not decide to give up alcohol completely. But the singer has since learned that she is ‘not a moderation person’. She thinks that everyone should do what is best for them. Miley said that she doesn’t have a problem with drinking, but she has a problem with the impulsive decisions she makes once she goes past that level. She says it is not difficult for her to stay away from alcohol, but as soon as she drinks a glass, she loses control.

That is why she decided to eliminate alcohol from her lifestyle. Miley Cyrus added that she is a disciplined person: That is why it is easy for her to be sober once she decides.

Miley was afraid that she will die at the age of 27

In June, after undergoing vocal surgery, Cyrus shared that she had not drunk alcohol for six months due to her surgery.

In time, however, she began to wonder where her unhealthy relationship with alcohol came from. The singer realized that the problems in her family played a big part in this. Her parents were divorced and her father took care of her alone, and in the meantime, he had addiction problems.

However, in the last 2-3 months, Miley drank more but began to fear joining the so-called “Club 27”. This refers to a group of musicians who died before the age of 28. Losing a lot of music icons at the age of 27 made her stop drinking. Miley, who turned 28 on November 23, said that she wanted to protect herself.
