Britney Spears is fighting against her father having control over her career

Her father manages her money and social networks, so she asks the court to take control of her life.

Due to Britney Spears’ mental health problems, her father has been managing her money and her whole life for twelve years.

And now the singer is asking the court to finally give her control over her life. For 12 years, Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, has been in control of the singer’s money and life, ostensibly due to concerns about her mental health.

In 2019, he resigned from this role due to health problems. Then, as a replacement, the singer’s manager, Jodi Montgomery, came forward, but her father still has the last saying. This “contract” expired on August 22 and Britney does not want it to be extended.

Britney Spears has asked the court to appoint Jodi Montgomery as her permanent conservator for the person. She doesn’t want to return that power to Jamie Spears, who has had control since 2008. According to the document submitted to the court in California, Britney no longer wants to be controlled by Jamie.

The ACLU has offered help to Britney Spears

The American Civil Liberties Union has offered help to Britney in her battle. They think that even disabled people have the right to retain their civil rights and control their lives. So, they fully support Britney in regaining her civil liberties. They tweeted that they are there to help her in getting out of her conservatorship.

The document Britney submitted to the court says that she wants her manager to take care of her career. However, she wants to regain control of her money. It is also stated in the document that the 38-year-old singer benefited from all this because her father’s care helped her get back on her feet and maintain her status as a world-famous singer.

Most fans are convinced that Britney was forced to accept her father’s control, and even launched a #FreeBirtney – release Britney campaign.

The hashtag #FreeBritney appeared in 2009 but soon turned into a huge online campaign. According to fans that support the campaign, Britney’s father has too much control over her. They go so far as to believe that her father controls her social networks as well.

What exactly is the contract between Britney and her father?

In the United States, if an adult isn’t capable of taking care of them, he or she is assigned a guardian who will be responsible for their money and even their decisions.

After Britney’s mental health deteriorated in 2007, a court ruled that she was in that category, and her father took full control of her life. Jamie Spears became her conservator in 2008 following her public breakdowns. He gained control over her personal life, finances, and career choices.

Besides ending up in a mental institution, she still managed to release three albums, and also to appear as a judge in The X Factor.

This whole situation is really strange, so we hope that the court will grant her request, and Britney Spears will finally have control over her life.

Miley Cyrus opens up about her alcohol addiction

The Disney alum has always been open about her experience with alcohol and drugs. And like many people during the pandemic, she has gone through some ups and downs with substance.

In a recent interview with Apple Music, Miley Cyrus has discussed her journey with sobriety, and she honestly opened up about relapsing.

Miley Cyrus opened up about her alcohol problems, saying she stopped drinking again, mainly because she feared she would die at the age of 27. This age was the end for many of her colleagues such as Amy Winehouse, Janice Joplin, and Jim Morrison.

Apple Music’s Zane Lowe asked the singer about her sobriety. Miley Cyrus clarified that recently during the pandemic she had broken her sobriety by drinking alcohol, but at the time of the interview, she was two weeks sober. She admitted that she fell off during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, she has finally realized that she shouldn’t be furious with herself, but ask herself what exactly happened.

Miley Cyrus completely gave up alcohol

This summer, she said that she did not decide to give up alcohol completely. But the singer has since learned that she is ‘not a moderation person’. She thinks that everyone should do what is best for them. Miley said that she doesn’t have a problem with drinking, but she has a problem with the impulsive decisions she makes once she goes past that level. She says it is not difficult for her to stay away from alcohol, but as soon as she drinks a glass, she loses control.

That is why she decided to eliminate alcohol from her lifestyle. Miley Cyrus added that she is a disciplined person: That is why it is easy for her to be sober once she decides.

Miley was afraid that she will die at the age of 27

In June, after undergoing vocal surgery, Cyrus shared that she had not drunk alcohol for six months due to her surgery.

In time, however, she began to wonder where her unhealthy relationship with alcohol came from. The singer realized that the problems in her family played a big part in this. Her parents were divorced and her father took care of her alone, and in the meantime, he had addiction problems.

However, in the last 2-3 months, Miley drank more but began to fear joining the so-called “Club 27”. This refers to a group of musicians who died before the age of 28. Losing a lot of music icons at the age of 27 made her stop drinking. Miley, who turned 28 on November 23, said that she wanted to protect herself.
