How do you know if he/she is cheating on you? If you’re asking this question, you already suspect that you are a victim of infidelity.
First, we’ll tell you this – if your gut is telling you that your partner is cheating, it might be right. However, you need to gather other evidence before you confront your partner about their behavior. The following are the common cheating signs:
A long period of silence
It’s 2019, so who is hanging without their phone for longer than ten minutes? If your partner doesn’t return your calls or text messages for a long time without good reason, it may indicate cheating. And you’ll probably hear legitimate-sounding excuses like that they were driving, they were in a meeting and didn’t know you were trying to reach them.
Bizarre schedule shifts
Okay, who is taking a yoga class or going to the gym at 9 pm?
New bedroom move
You can say to yourself that they have been watching porn. The reality can be that they’ve picked those new moves and tricks from doing the deed with their new lover.
Disinterest in sex
If you’re feeling a shift in romance or if your partner doesn’t seem interested in being intimate with you, they may be getting the sex somewhere else.
Sudden unexplained appreciation and affection for you
Maybe we sound odd or paranoid now, but believe us – when your partner, who has been angry and annoyed with you, mysteriously becomes apologetic and nice, he/she is probably cheating on you. They’ll act out their disappointment, frustration, and anger with you by seeing someone else that will turn into guilt with you.
Your partner is irritable
If he/she is unexpectedly getting mad at you for little things, it could be a sign of cheating.
Your partner is secretive about the finances
If he/she keeps you in the dark about their money, and how they are spending it, you’ll never know who they are spending it on. If you notice odd charges on his/her credit card or less money in the bank account, it can be a sign of cheating. Once you confront your partner about the expenses, and the answer seems untrue, it probably is a lie. Cheating costs money: dinners and wine, gifts, hotel rooms, trips, etc.
Your partner’s friends seem uncomfortable around you
We all know that the betrayed partner is always the last person to find out about the cheating. The cheater’s friends usually know about the cheating from the start, and even your friends are likely to find out before you do. The knowledge causes his/her friends to feel uncomfortable in your presence. They may try to avoid you or they may try to overcompensate by being overly nice.
He/she doesn’t post pictures with you on social media
If your partner is posting pictures with family and friends, yet he/she is skittish about posting pictures as a couple, not cool. Not cool at all. Also, be aware if he/she starts posting many selfies of her/him. Again, not cool, and a sign of cheating, too.
Your partner is changing the appearance
If your partner starts to care about their appearance more than usual, it may be a sign of cheating. If your partner is suddenly buying new underwear or exercising more, it could mean he/she is looking to be attractive to other people.
