Trends we are ditching in 2020

If you love to wear the popular stuff and be the fashion-forward person in your group, here are the trends that you shouldn’t wear in 2020.

The beginning of the decade means more than resolutions. It’s time to put old fashions away for another year or more. The previous year showed some strange and daring trends, so we’re excited to see what stays in 2019.

Long claw nails

They are not classy, they are not beautiful, and they are not practical! They are not even sexy! In 2020, everyone is going back to basics and short nails. This year, long claw nails will not be on the list of trends. And we can all agree that this trend should stay in 2019.

Mom jeans

They peaked at the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019, and since then, they started to go away slowly. And it’s a little bit annoying because they are so comfortable! But nobody would be comfortable enough to wear them at a fashion week or fashion event. And that’s usually how to know that the trends are dying – the high fashion crowd stops wearing them.

Biker shorts

We don’t think they are flattering on anyone, but the main reason biker shorts will be canceled is because they were so overworn in 2019! So, please, keep yours for the gym!

Bell sleeves

Bell sleeves are done.  In 2019, they were a huge hit – every big brand had bell sleeves in their collections. They were so big, so trendy, and they drag on a little. Well, you know how it goes – right after is on the runway, all high street brands like Zara and H&M, picked up on them, and they did a lot of bell sleeves. But in 2020, you won’t be seeing bell sleeves – they are over, they are done!

Also, they are not practical when eating, because the sleeve ends up in your pasta Bolognese, and then…yeah. Just saying, because we heard that from a friend.

Leopard print

So, everyone is saying that leopard print will always be in, never going out of fashion. Um, that’s not true. In 2019, we had a bit of a leopard print trend and it hit the peak! And we must admit that it’s a little boring. So, we don’t advise you to invest in this print in 2020. Well, you can still wear it – it’s your choice. It depends on whether your style is Cardi B or Lady D.

Dad sneakers

Will they go out of fashion? Everyone asks this question, so we’ll give you the answer. Dad sneakers are not in peak anymore. No, they are not the coolest thing when you see them on the streets anymore. You can still wear them, not as if they are unacceptable, but are you the trendiest person? Well, no.

Embellished denim

Embellished denim jackets or jeans, or in generally embellished denim is over. They are so done, not even going to comment – Goodbye!

Fanny packs

We cannot believe how overhyped fanny packs were in 2019. They were so popular in the 80s and 90s, but in this new decade, they are out, and we are happy about that!

Small sunglasses

Smaller sunglasses will be swapped for the bigger sunglasses, still like a cat eye, but bigger models. They will not be small, but not big. You know how it always goes – it reaches a point where it is so small that it is unusable, and then it keeps going back.

Small bags

Small bags are so cute and we love them. They make us feel like Barbie carrying them around, but will they stick around? Well, honestly, they have reached the point where they cannot get any smaller. They also were on every single red carpet, every fashion event, and it’s now time to go bigger.

Miley Cyrus opens up about her alcohol addiction

The Disney alum has always been open about her experience with alcohol and drugs. And like many people during the pandemic, she has gone through some ups and downs with substance.

In a recent interview with Apple Music, Miley Cyrus has discussed her journey with sobriety, and she honestly opened up about relapsing.

Miley Cyrus opened up about her alcohol problems, saying she stopped drinking again, mainly because she feared she would die at the age of 27. This age was the end for many of her colleagues such as Amy Winehouse, Janice Joplin, and Jim Morrison.

Apple Music’s Zane Lowe asked the singer about her sobriety. Miley Cyrus clarified that recently during the pandemic she had broken her sobriety by drinking alcohol, but at the time of the interview, she was two weeks sober. She admitted that she fell off during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, she has finally realized that she shouldn’t be furious with herself, but ask herself what exactly happened.

Miley Cyrus completely gave up alcohol

This summer, she said that she did not decide to give up alcohol completely. But the singer has since learned that she is ‘not a moderation person’. She thinks that everyone should do what is best for them. Miley said that she doesn’t have a problem with drinking, but she has a problem with the impulsive decisions she makes once she goes past that level. She says it is not difficult for her to stay away from alcohol, but as soon as she drinks a glass, she loses control.

That is why she decided to eliminate alcohol from her lifestyle. Miley Cyrus added that she is a disciplined person: That is why it is easy for her to be sober once she decides.

Miley was afraid that she will die at the age of 27

In June, after undergoing vocal surgery, Cyrus shared that she had not drunk alcohol for six months due to her surgery.

In time, however, she began to wonder where her unhealthy relationship with alcohol came from. The singer realized that the problems in her family played a big part in this. Her parents were divorced and her father took care of her alone, and in the meantime, he had addiction problems.

However, in the last 2-3 months, Miley drank more but began to fear joining the so-called “Club 27”. This refers to a group of musicians who died before the age of 28. Losing a lot of music icons at the age of 27 made her stop drinking. Miley, who turned 28 on November 23, said that she wanted to protect herself.
